After graduating from the University of Vermont in 1988, Plumb began his insurance career with Farm Family Insurance and earned his designation as a Certified Insurance Counselor.
Siegfried joined MEMIC in August 1998 as an ergonomist in the loss control department. He developed the company’s approach to this emerging area of risk and earned a reputation as an outstanding trainer. He was later promoted to director of loss control and, in addition to directing ergonomic programs, led the company’s safety effort at its Manchester, N.H.-based subsidiary, MEMIC Indemnity Company.

He has formal training in ergonomics from the Harvard School of Public Health, University of Michigan, and NIOSH. In addition, Siegfried is a co-presenter at the Advanced Ergonomic Institute held by the University of Southern Maine (USM) and led the development of the Northern New England ErgoSymposium in partnership with USM.
Quincy Mutual recently announced the hiring of Brian Cadigan as business development manager in its commercial lines department. Cadigan has had a distinguished insurance career with Fireman’s Fund, Eastern Casualty and most recently with One Beacon where he had similar responsibilities. He is expected to be a key contributor to Quincy’s growth initiatives in its commercial business. He is a graduate of Suffolk University and holds both the CPCU and CIC designations.
